Parlamento Europeo Giovani – Edizione 2022/2023

EUROPEAN YOUTH PARLIAMENT (EYP-PEG)
GENOVA NATIONAL SESSION  22-26 MARCH 2023

A student delegation from the secondary school “Petrarca” took part in 2023 Genova PEG/EYP: the students were Ester Mauri and Milijan Stojimirovic from 3G; Victoria Djuric from 4E, Chiara Viatori and Milica Lepedatovic from 4G and Sara Marengo from 3F. The event was held in Genova from 22nd to 26th March. The students met delegations from all over Italy and were encouraged to engage in active citizenship through model debates and simulations of what actually takes place in the European Parliament. Their speaking skills have greatly improved as well as their knowledge of European geo-politics and society. The event also aimed at enhancing those cross-cultural and soft skills that might be useful in the students’ future academic and working life.

Siamo lieti di annunciare che anche quest’anno la delegazione del Liceo Petrarca di Trieste è stata selezionata per partecipare alla fase nazionale del Parlamento Europeo Giovani che si svolgerà a Genova dal 22 al 26 marzo 2023.

Il PEG (EYP) è un’associazione internazionale che coordina i 40 comitati nazionali di ogni Paese e consiste nella simulazione dei dibattiti del Parlamento europeo, promuovendo i valori del rispetto, del confronto, della multiculturalità e dell’autonomia di pensiero. I dibattiti si tengono in lingua inglese, ottimo esercizio per approfondire il lessico specifico e altri aspetti della lingua. Il Liceo Classico e Linguistico con Sezione Ospedaliera “Francesco Petrarca” sarà rappresentato da una delegazione di 6 alunni.
